When Mary Kay® meets Project Runway Season 13, magic happens. At least according to the makeup brush of Mary Kay® Global Makeup Artist Luis Casco, who created two gorgeous looks featured on the show.
I recently had the awesome opportunity to recreate the looks featured on Project Runway Season 13, which is sponsored by Mary Kay. What a fun time I had playing with the gorgeous colors and beauty tools Luis used to create the Graphic Eye Look and Emerald Smoke Look. Both of these makeup applications are easy and they are totally wearable not only on the fashion runway, but in a typical gal’s day-to-day life. Luis knows how to make color accessible and not overwhelming at all. The Graphic Eye Look plays on pops of color to make a traditional cat eye edgy.
When I wore this out and about, I got raves across the board for how great my eyes looked. I quite agree!
The Emerald Smoke Look is so much fun, and if you’ve been reading Painted Ladies long enough, you know I love green eyeshadow.
This is a really pretty way to wear color shadow that isn’t overwhelming at all.
Can I be totally honest with you all? I was really impressed beyond what I thought I would be with the Mary Kay® beauty items I used to recreate both looks. While I’ve dabbled here and there with Mary Kay through the years, I’ve never really used a full line of Mary Kay® products. To my delight and surprise, I am really enjoying using these highly pigmented, quality products that are definitely going to make reappearances in future makeup looks here on Painted Ladies. The gel eyeliner that stays put and does not travel whatsoever? Love, pure love!
And I really enjoyed the Mary Kay® True Dimensions Lipsticks which are creamy as all get up, smooth and super pigmented. I could keep raving about these products for a good long spell, but needless to say the Mary Kay® Translucent Loose Powder and Finishing Spray By Skindinavia are two must haves. Good job, Mary Kay!
